Cornelia Shipley Bearyman - CEO, 3C Consulting

A sought-after culture and inclusion expert, equity and strategy advisor, speaker, published author, and people development strategist who works with the Fortune 1000 to expand their capacity, increase their capability, and drive the clarity necessary for business success.

Cornelia has twenty years of experience in sales, sales training and development, and human resources. She is considered among the best in personal and professional development, having left corporate to start 3C Consulting nearly 20 years ago. Cornelia holds a Master's of Business Administration degree from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University where she studied abroad at Melbourne Business School and was a part of the Global Leadership International study program in Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, and Japan. She is currently working on her Ph.D. in Conscious Business Ethics. Her company is both woman and minority-owned. Cornelia has been featured In Inc.com, Black Enterprise, Huff Post, and The Washington Post.

Michael Baptiste - Vice President - Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Metro Atlanta Chamber

In his role, he is dedicated to elevating DEI and racial equity at MAC and across the metro Atlanta business community. He leads the ATL Action for Racial Equity initiative and works to position Atlanta as the location of choice for diverse talent. Prior to joining the MAC, Michael served as the head of DEI at Justworks, enriching workplace culture and overall employee experience centered around the DEI strategy, mission, and vision.

Michael has a Diversity & Inclusion Professional Certificate, a Master's Degree in HumanResource Management 1 and a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration-Marketing. He has 15+ years of total work experience in areas such as Talent Management, Human Resources, Recrurtment, and D&I, working in various industries: Entertainment, Financial Services, Education, and Non-Profit

He is also an Army Veteran who served our country in the Army National Guard. He is on the Equity & Inclusion Advisory Board for Seed & Spark, the Advisory Council for STRIVE Atlanta, and the Board of Directors of NextGen. He has held memberships in the following organizations: SHRM, NAAHR, National Black MBA, and NAMIC.

Michael is a well-rounded individual with a variety of personal interests. He is an avid sports fan, a frequent concert goer and a travel enthusiast. However his greatest joy comes from spending time with his wife, daughter, and extended family. Michael and his wife - Yolanda, an educator at Atlanta Unbound Academy, reside in Rockdale County with their daughter - Je T'aime.

Kelly Frank - President & General Manager, CBS News

Kelly joined CBS Philadelphia in 2022 after serving as Director of Content at WTSP-TV, the CBS Television Network affiliate in Tampa, Fla. Prior to her nearly four years at WTSP, Frank spent three years as the Director of News and Digital content at WBNS-TV, the CBS station in Columbus, Ohio.

Her background also includes serving as an executive producer at CNN in Atlanta, where she supervised several show teams. In addition to daily CNN programming, Kelly served as Executive Producer during special coverage for hurricanes, politics, the Japan Earthquake/Tsunami and the Gulf Oil spill working with Anderson Cooper, Wolf Blitzer, Christiane Amanpour and Soledad O’Brien. She was part of the team that took home three Peabody Awards for coverage of the 2008 election, the 2010 Gulf Oil spill and coverage of the Arab Spring.

Under her leadership, news operations have won 4 regional Edward R. Murrow Awards, been nominated for over 100 Emmys with over 50 wins including Breaking News, News Excellence & Overall Excellence.She has led teams to 19 SPJ Awards, the SPJ First Amendment Award and 32 Associated Press Awards.

Kelly graduated with a BA in English from Kentucky Wesleyan College where she is in the Athletic Hall of Fame for her time as a softball pitcher. She also holds a master’s degree in social media communications from the University of Florida, Marketing Analytics certification from UC Berkeley and a Finance Certificate from Harvard Business School. She proudly serves on the board of the Police Athletic League and the Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters.

Marissa is hopelessly addicted to helping accomplished leaders make the shifts they need to create the life and business results their hearts truly desire but their heads struggle to make happen.

In her own life, she’s shifted from secretary to CEO, from separated and seeking divorce to celebrating twenty-five+ years of marriage and from being an overworked and unfulfilled Executive Director to doing her life’s work: facilitating transformational shifts for individuals and organizations.

A proud social worker by trade and expert in intra- and interpersonal relationships, Marissa’s clients include service-based business owners, nonprofit CEOs and other executive leaders; plus couples, business partners, management teams, boards of directors and beyond.

Focusing on empathy-driven leadership. Under her guidance, Vayner grew from 400 to 2000 employees globally, with VaynerMedia named 2022's Breakthrough Media Agency by AdWeek. She advocates for "emotional optimism" and creating inclusive work environments.

With a background in psychology, outdoor leadership, and global advertising, Claude brings diverse experience to her role. She's received industry awards and is a sought-after speaker and media contributor.

Claude has received the Campaign US’s “Female Frontier Award” and AdWeek’s “Changing the Game Award” and speaks at major national and international conferences and corporate events. She has been interviewed on dozens of leading podcasts and quoted or featured in the New York Times, Forbes, Fast Company, Inc., and the Wall Street Journal.

She lives in the New York City area with her wife and two young daughters and (still) loves snowboarding, road trips, listening to ‘80s music and Trance (Loud!), and spending time with friends.

Darlene Slaughter - Chief Diversity Officer, Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA)

She is leading a culture of engagement, innovation, accountability, trust, diversity and inclusion. Her work in diversity and inclusion has been recognized with several awards, including SAVOY's Top 100 Influential Women in Corporate America, Profiles in Diversity Journal's Women Worth Watching, and features in Black Enterprise and Inclusion Magazine.

Prior to WMATA, Darlene served as the Chief Diversity, Inclusion and Engagement Officer at the March of Dimes, designing a program to increase board diversity. She also held Chief Diversity Officer roles at United Way Worldwide and Fannie Mae, advancing diversity and inclusion strategies, building partnerships, and facilitating community initiatives. Additionally, she served as the Principal Consultant and Chair of Linkage's Institute for Leading Diversity and Inclusion, training corporate leaders on developing and leading D&I initiatives.

Pamela Wheeler - Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer, NFP, an AON Company

An accomplished leader with nearly three decades of experience creating and improving diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB) outcomes for employees, clients, partners and communities. As NFP’s Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer, she works with colleagues across NFP to drive DEIB strategy, create systems and cultures of change and move the organization forward with deliberate action, measurable results and continuous refinement. This includes launching a Supplier Diversity Program, investing capital in a minority depository fund and evolving and expanding employee resource groups to Business Resource Groups - aligning objectives with NFP business goals. Ms. Wheeler is also a Lecturer of Leadership & Personnel Management within the Columbia University MS Sports Management Program.

Pamela is a woman of firsts. She was the first woman appointed to lead a professional sports union, was the founding Director of the Women’s National Basketball Players Association (WNBPA) and negotiated the first collective bargaining agreement in women’s professional sports. As founding Director of the WNBPA, Ms. Wheeler created the organizational infrastructure of the organization and was responsible for improving the lives of professional women basketball players both on and off the court. Prior to theWNBPA, Ms. Wheeler was the Director of Business Development for the Continental Basketball Association and served as General Counsel & Marketing Manager at Bob Woolf Associates, creating sports and entertainment marketing programs for institutional clients and negotiating marketing agreements for athletes.

She earned a BA from Dartmouth College and a JD from Boston University. She has been profiled in a number of traditional and sports publications, including Savoy Magazine’s Most Influential Executives in Diversity & Inclusion, DiversityGlobal Top 15 Influential Women in Diversity, Sports Business Journal “Game Changer,” Sports Illustrated, 101 Most Influential Minorities in Sports, Black Enterprise, 50 Most Powerful Blacks in Sports and Essence Magazine, Powerful African American Women.

Joffrey Wilson - Vice President of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Mortenson

The company is a leader in the commercial construction, real estate development, and renewable energy spaces. Prior to joining Mortenson, Joffrey worked for General Mills and Ford Motor Company in Marketing, Sales and Corporate Strategy. Outside of work, Joffrey enjoys playing and watching sports, along with coaching his two sons. He and his wife also enjoy live music, and finding new restaurants.

Joffrey graduated from the University of Minnesota, with a bachelor’s degree in business and the University of Michigan, with an MBA. He is from Minneapolis, MN and currently resides in St. Louis Park, MN with his wife and kids.
